It’s a busy time of year with new events, festivals, and more and we’ve got them all on our top picks of things to do this weekend in Tampa Bay!

The Kentucky Derby is also coming up on Saturday, May 4, and we’ve started rounding up where you can watch the race around Tampa Bay.

TASTE at The STRAZ

  • April 27 at 6 pm
  • Tampa

The Straz’s annual eat and drink extravaganza returns featuring some of the best restaurants in the area. Guests will have access to the Bay area’s best food, craft brews, cocktails, and more. There will also be multiple stages featuring live music all along Tampa’s beautiful Riverwalk. Tickets start at $95.

 

Blueberry Festival at Amber Brooke Farms

  • Weekends, April 20-28, from 10:00am – 5:00pm

Celebrate blueberry season at the annual blueberry festival. Pick your own blueberries from one of four different varieties. Experience our 25+ family activities plus special contests and games, including a pie eating contest, blueberry slingshots, and photos with the blueberry mascot.
Don’t forget to bring an appetite and indulge in a variety of blueberry infused eats, including cakes, lemonade, slushies, and more.

Wine Down Wednesdays & Tasting Tuesdays

  • Every Second Tuesday and Last Wednesday of the Month

2024 Bucs Draft Party

  • Thursday, April 25 at 6 pm
  • Raymond James Stadium, Tampa

Witness the future of the Bucs! Parking lots open at 6 pm. Doors and gates for members open at 6:30 and will open at 7 pm for non-members. The draft will begin at 8 pm. Tickets include parking, live coverage, pre-show party, appearances by Bucs players and legends, tailgate style games, Miller Lite Beer Garden, Bucs Kids Zone, locker room tours, and more! $5 Krewe members, $15 non-Krewe members, $5 Jr. Bucs members (and family members).

Tours at Fat Beet Farm

  • Friday, April 26 and Sunday, April 28
  • Fat Beet Farms in Tampa

Join Fat Beet Farm for an exclusive peek at the inner workings of the farm, including their sustainability initiatives and wildlife preservation/restoration projects! This 1-hour walking tour includes their vegetable gardens, composting and vermiculture, chickens, the biodigester, bees, microgreens, aquaculture systems, wetland, and coastal preservation areas, and more! After the tour, head up to the cafe and marketplace to enjoy lunch and grab some local goods.

Live Music at the Sail

Sunset Zip Line Adventures at Empower Adventures Tampa Bay

Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival

  • Friday, April 19-Sunday, April 21
  •  Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

This year’s Food and Wine Festival features 17 cabins in the Festival Pathway, Festival Field, and Bird Gardens area. Taste food and wines from specific countries like Argentina, Chile, Spain, France, South Africa, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and Italy. There are also cabins focused on Old World Wines, Moonshine Tasting, and USA Desserts. The menu items range from $7.99 to $10.99. 

You can also hear music from Andy Grammar at 7 pm on Saturday the 27th and Chris Lane on Sunday the 28th at 6 pm. 

Heart at Amalie arena

  • Friday, April 26 at 8 pm
  • Tampa

See 1980s band, Heart, in concert at Amalie Arena. Tickets $31.25-$176.

Tampa International Dragon Boat Festival

  • Saturday, April 27 from 8 am-5 pm
  • Tampa – Rocky Point

The Tampa International Dragon Boat Festival offers a full array of racing classes in both 20-paddler standard boats and 10-paddler small boats. Spectators can watch from the Rocky Point Lagoon. This event is free and open to the public.

St. Pete Italian Fest

  • Saturday, April 27 from 10 am-4 pm
  • St. Pete Pier

Head to the Pier for a day filled with all things Italian! Indulge in mouthwatering cuisine and experience the vibrant culture of Italy in St. Pete. In addition to all the food, there will be live entertainment, music, dancing, and a display of Italian exotic cars.

Sunflower Festival at Dade City Farms

You’ll have the chance to pick your own flowers, enjoy photo ops throughout the farm, shop from local vendors, play at the petting zoo, and so much more!

WWII Living History Event at Pioneer Florida Museum

Step back into an immersive 1945 Homefront experience. Learn about the impact of women in war, German POWs, the influence of radio, and interact with living historians.

2024 Westchase Rotary Pub Crawl

Harlem Globetrotters at Yuengling Center

MAY THE 4TH at Tampa Theatre: Special STAR WARS Screenings

  • Saturday, May 4th
  • Tampa Theatre

May the 4th – aka “Star Wars Day”, falls on a Saturday this year and to celebrate, Tampa Theatre has cleared their showings for a celebration of all three films in the original epic trilogy! Guests are encouraged to come in costume, and arrive early to meet some local members of the 501st Legion. Doors open 45 minutes before show time. Tickets are $10 for general audiences. The first showtime for Star Wars: A New Hope (1977) is at 1:15pm.

Tour begins at Florida CraftArt, 501 Central Ave. in downtown St. Petersburg Visitors will hear the inside stories of the making of over 30 murals found in the four-block tour. Limited to 20 people, must book before 4 p.m. the prior day. Bring water for hydration and the necessary rain gear if the weather looks threatening.
