Whether swinging from yoga silks, doing some asanas outside at an organic farm, or practicing your downward dog among the mangroves, these off-the-mat yoga adventures are sure to be a date to remember. And the best part: you can “dress to de-stress.”

81 Bay Brewing Company

Balance your date night with some mindful yoga and brewing. Yoga and Brew classes, created in collaboration with Yoga Loft, are held at 6pm on the first Wednesday of each month. This all-level class takes place in the taproom and is accompanied by the jams of DJ Kolumbo. Enjoy a one-hour class and a beer of your choice for $20. Also check out Bend & Brew offered periodically at Hyde Park Village.

Camp Tampa

An indoor studio known for its cheeky and fun vibe, Camp Tampa has one feature parents on a date will love: they offer childcare! Couples can take their “”lil’ campers” to the onsite fun room for just  $5 then enjoy unique options like the energizing 60-minute Blend Cycle/Yoga class ($18), combining 25 minutes of cycle with 25 minutes of yoga. Reservations recommended.

Vertical Ventures

A 20,000 square-foot indoor rock climbing facility near downtown St. Petersburg, Vertical Ventures is great for new and seasoned climbers alike. After you’ve worked together as a team on the state-of-the-art climbing walls, release the tension with a climber-friendly yoga class by Body Electric. Classes are offered periodically throughout the week (see the schedule) and are free for members or included with the purchase of regular admission ($25 first time/$18 daily). Space is limited. As a side note, you can also climb at Vertical Ventures’ Tampa location but yoga is not offered.

Swing Yoga at Yoga Downtown Tampa

Take your relationship and flexibility to new heights with Swing Yoga. Beginners can learn to fly in the required Intro to Swing Yoga Workshop ($35 for a 90-minute session). Or, bring your sweetie in for future Swing Yoga dates ($15). Reservations recommended.

Yoga in the Park

Also by Yoga Downtown Tampa, get your yoga flow beside the flowing Hillsborough River. Enjoy this one-hour class on the lush green lawn at Curtis Hixon Park every Sunday (Nov. 6 – Mar 5) at 5pm or (Mar 12 – Oct 29) at 6pm then take a stroll along the Riverwalk. Sweetwater SUP Yoga

As if yoga in its traditional form wasn’t relaxing enough, how about peacefully floating among the mangroves while you perfect your downward dog? Standup Paddle Board (SUP) yoga is an excellent way to engage your core and your date. Paddle through mangrove tunnels into quiet estuary lagoons in this two-hour class, which includes 50-60 minutes of yoga. Safe for beginners and advanced yogis alike. During their season, October through May, SUP yoga is available most Saturdays, depending on weather. $35 includes paddleboard rental. Reservations recommended.

Sweetwater Organic Community Farm

Down on the Sweetwater Farm, organic food and fierce warrior pose combine for the perfect Sunday yoga date. After a peaceful class in either the Kundalini tradition and vinyasa style (they alternate each week), tantalize your taste buds with organic fruits, smoothies, veggie burgers and wood-fired pizzas. Enjoy this one-hour class on the covered porch before the market opens, then take in the sights and sounds with live music and vendors. $5 donation recommended.
