Southern Brewing & Winemaking
At Southern Brewing in Tampa, you can tap into your passion for your date and craft beer at one of the monthly extract or all-grain brewing classes. Classes are 2-3 hours and will cover all the details you need to start your own home brew. After learning how to craft your own beer, grab a pint and enjoy an evening in the pet-friendly biergarten or inside the taproom, where they keep all 24 taps flowing with a variety of beers, ciders, meads, wine and kombucha, all made in-house. Classes are $20 and have a 12 person max, so check the calendar and book your date in advance.
You Do the Dishes
This eclectic Tampa coffee shop and pottery studio is the perfect place to get creative on your next date, and you won’t even argue over who has to do the dishes. You can pick from the plethora of pottery, order a delicious drink from the coffee and tea bar, then grab a table and enjoy the artistic vibe while you create your next masterpiece. The regular rate is $8 plus the price of pottery, and your piece will be fired and ready 3-5 days after you paint it. This artsy little gem is open Monday – Saturday, 10am to 10am and Sunday from 1pm to 10pm. The studio is open until midnight the first Saturday of each month. Check the website for daily specials such as the ‘everyone paints for $4/hour after 5pm’ deal offered each Saturday.
Wine and Canvas
Enjoy an evening with Wine and Canvas mobile painting, hosting pop-up painting events at your favorite hot spots around the Tampa, Clearwater and St. Pete. No need to BYO because painting classes are hosted at venues that serve beverages and food. Three-hour classes allow ample time to eat, drink, paint and socialize before leaving with a hand-painted memory. No talent or experience is necessary, and instructors will guide you step by step. Check the calendar for venues and locations. Sign up early because classes fill quickly. Most classes are $25. Rather have sweets than wine with your sweetie? Inquire about Cookies & Canvas.
